Job Summary
Coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, and surgery procedures according to standards and practices. Receives and ensures the execution of physician orders. Ensures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.
Essential Functions
+ Performs general diagnostic radiologic procedures utilizing standardized positioning and immobilization techniques to minimize patient movement and maximize patient safety. Produces x-ray images of specified body areas as direct by the physician or radiologist.
+ Completes proper identification and order verification. Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
+ Exercises judgement in selecting and computing machine settings to compensate for such variances as patient size, age, sex and tissue density. Positions equipment at proper distance and angle, ...
