Position Overview
Position Summary:
The radiation therapy technologist uses ionizing radiation producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by the physician for treatment of disease. Also assist with the simulation and planning of radiation therapy treatments.
Education, License & Cert:
High school with additional skills training (certification). Two years and one year radiation therapy. Certification required; Type: ARRT (Radiation Technologist)
Experience:
Minimum of six months
Essential Functions:
1. Plans, simulates, and delivers the prescribed course of radiation. 2. Checks beam direction devices, protective devices, heavy and dangerous equipment and keeps records of same under supervision of physicist. 3.
