Sr Buyer

Responsibilities

• Work independently to coordinate purchasing activities and manage purchase requisitions in a timely manner.
• Use MRP and/or manual requests to analyze demand and determine purchasing needs.
• Issue RFQs for price and availability, monitor supplier delivery, negotiate price, volume, and delivery dates.
• Process RMAs, expedite and reschedule orders to meet production requirements.
• Resolve AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation.
• Research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long‑lead‑time parts.
• Manage implementation of engineering changes, interpret procurement policies, lead process improvement projects, negotiate and approve PPV’s.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
