To manage and implement all aspects of Quantity Surveying and Estimating, as per industry norms and standards, at a project and programme level for Transnet Port Terminals and other Operating Divisions.

Position Outputs

Preparation of feasibility studies in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Project Lifecycle Process.

• Undertake regular interaction with stakeholders and others to ensure a professional service is delivered and that queries are timeously and satisfactorily resolved
• Preparation of bills of quantities in accordance with the Standard System of Measurement, SANS 1200 and other systems of measuring
• Use of the latest version of software approved by Transnet for the compilation of bills of quantities and estimates.
• Conduct commercial evaluation of tenders / contracts as and when required.
• Attend all site meetings and other relevant meetings.
