SA Metal Group is South Africa’s oldest and largest metal recycling company. The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and iron) and non‑ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, zinc, stainless steel, brass and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals.

We are looking for an experienced, detail‑oriented, dedicated Qualified Electrician to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Department Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with maintenance and upgrading of existing electrical control and distribution systems
• Perform electrical diagnostics and suitable repairs
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Conduct point‑to‑point checks on PLCs and control and power systems
• Read and correctly interpret electrical diagrams
• Assist the department manager with ad‑hoc duties
