Position Summary: The QA/QC Substation Technician ensures the quality and compliance of substation construction, maintenance, and operations through inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. The technician supports safe, efficient, and uninterrupted electrical service delivery.



Essential Functions

Quality Assurance & Control:


+ Conduct inspections and testing of substation equipment and installations to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and project specifications.

+ Document and report non-conformances and assist in corrective action implementation.

+ Maintain accurate QA/QC records, including test results, inspection reports, and calibration logs.


Technical Functions/Duties:


+ Inspect, calibrate, and repair substation components including:

+ Transformers

+ Circuit breakers

+ Reclosers
