Position Overview
Summary This position is an entry-level Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (ATSS). All duties of an ATSS are tied to maintaining safe and efficient operating capacity of the vast and complex network or electronics systems required for the world's largest air traffic control and navigation system. ATSS personnel install, evaluate, maintain, modify and certify facilities, services and equipment that support the National Airspace System (NAS). Responsibilities Responsibilities at the F band include, but not limited to the following: At this level, the ATSS performs basic, progressively more difficult assignments, receives academic and on-the-job instruction in fundamentals of the appropriate discipline, acquires and applies basic technical knowledge and limited experience to accomplish assignments.
