Position Overview
**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our PT/OT Assistant, you will help patients implement direct and indirect physical and occupational therapy treatment programs so they can improve their physical function and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Every day you will implement treatment programs planned by licensed Physical Therapists or Occupational Therapists. You will be expected to assess treatment effectiveness, modify goals as appropriate, utilize specialized techniques, provide patient/family education, and document all interventions and patient responses in accordance with department policy.
To be successful in this role you must understand and apply physical and occupational therapy theories, be able to develop and implement appropriate patient treatment plans, maintain meticulous records, organize work effectively, collaborate with healthcare teams, and maintain confidentiality of medical information.
