Job summary

York and Selby Early Intervention for Psychosis Team is looking to recruit a qualified Psychological Therapist in CBT (Band 7) trained in working with people with psychosis and bipolar. Qualified CBT Therapists without this additional qualification would also be considered and suitable training in CBT for psychosis would be supported, as this is an essential requirement for this role. A willingness to engage in further study and practice towards eventual accreditation as a CBT therapist with specialist competences in psychosis and bipolar is essential.

If we are unable to recruit a qualified therapist, we will consider applications for a Trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Band 6). The trainee post will involve undertaking a 2 year post graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis and Bipolar.
