Applicants must have the following requirements:

Must have a Bachelor of Technology Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Must have at least 5 years of experience in the medium- to heavy-engineering industry within a jobbing environment.

Must have previous experience in project engineering/management in a manufacturing environment.

Must have a sound technical background of all aspects of the contracting process and technical manufacturing requirements.

Must have knowledge of commercial, contractual, and financial matters (Budget and Schedule Control).

Must have knowledge of manufacturing requirements for different materials, such as Mild Steel vs Stainless Steel.
