Position Description

The Barrick Africa & Middle East Team are seeking to recruit a Project Director to join the Lumwana Expansion Project Owners Team. The role will be responsible to provide effective project management for the execution of the project. The position will report directly to the Vice President Engineering and Projects – AME & LATAM.
 

The Lumwana Expansion Project involves a ramp-up of existing mining production from 150 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) to 350 Mtpa, which is in progress. It also involves the expansion of the processing plant throughput from 27 Mtpa to 52 Mtpa with peak design capacity of 54 Mtpa. Construction of the Expansion Project has commenced and is planned for completion in 2028.
