CMH is working towards achievement of Level III Trauma Designation and this position is integral in program development and oversight.

To supervise and lead VCUHS’ Specialty specific program accreditation (e.g. trauma, pediatric trauma, stroke, children’s surgery, cardiac) and to ensure that standards and requirements are met across the entire continuum of care. Ensures optimal outcomes of the population served through data driven processes.

Responsible for monitoring and coordinating the services and system elements to ensure an organized multi-disciplinary team approach to quality care of the patient population served. Involvement may begin in the prehospital setting and extends through acute care and into the post-acute phase
