Position Overview
We are seeking a candidate with an internationally recognized track record in research and teaching in the field of physiological chemistry, biochemistry or molecular biology. The professorship includes the directorship of the Institute of Physiological Chemistry (successor to Prof. Dr. T. Wirth). Candidates are expected to have an outstanding record of international publications and a proven ability to secure external funding. Furthermore, experience in establishing or participating in research networks, as well as leadership experience, is desirable.
The Institute’s research activities currently focus on the role of cellular signaling pathways in development and differentiation, as well as the disruption of these pathways in the onset and progression of diseases.
