Health and Safety Responsibility
Act as a leader in occupational health and safety by ensuring that employees always practice safe behaviors. Ensure that policies and instructions are strictly followed by all unionized employees. Ensure that health and safety training is provided to all employees under their responsibility.Train employees in safe work procedures and enforce safety rules. Ensure that health and safety deficiencies are properly identified, communicated and that follow-ups are carried out according to an acceptable schedule and management standards. Report all incidents and near-misses to management as soon as possible. Participate in the investigation following a near miss as soon as possible. Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.
