Job Description
A large Gas Utility employer sitting in Southern California is looking to hire a Principal Threat and Risk Engineer. This person will be reporting to their Anaheim base (x4 days a week). This person will be providing leadership through managing a team of SME's that will be assessing risk helping to identify pipeline corrosion and/or geo-hazards. He/she will need to be specialized in certain areas of risk, understanding pipeline corrosion, risk modeling and machine learning. This Engineer will need to be providing their findings to executive leadership and will need to be familiar with FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis). He/She will need to apply knowledge of coding in python and how to quantify that risk and potential failure of pipelines. This person will be responsible for driving reliability improvements through comprehensive lifecycle planning and advanced root cause investigations.
