The Principal Lactation Consultant will provide specialist lactation support and clinical guidance to mothers, families, and the patient care team. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting breastfeeding care, providing patient education, and working closely with clinical teams to ensure safe, professional, and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, guidance, and support to new mothers on breastfeeding and related care needs.
• Assess breastfeeding-related concerns and provide consultation to both inpatient and discharged mothers.
• Document interventions, patient responses, and the effectiveness of breastfeeding support provided.
• Coordinate appointment times and breastfeeding support sessions to ensure effective service delivery.
