Position Overview
Job Purpose:
To lead and execute the design and engineering of marine water intake and outfall systems for desalination plants,, ensuring compliance with environmental, hydraulic, and structural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual & Detailed DesignDevelop conceptual layouts and detailed designs for seawater intake and outfall systems (including pipelines, headworks, diffusers, screens, and pump houses).Perform hydraulic design and modelling (steady and unsteady flow, wave-current interaction, sediment transport, etc.).Select appropriate intake and diffuser configurations to ensure adequate dilution and minimize environmental impactEngineering Calculations & AnalysisCarry out hydrodynamic, structural, and geotechnical analyses for pipelines and offshore structures.Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and design basis documents.Use relevant design codes and standards (API, BS, DNV, ASCE, etc.).<...
