A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Principal Stress Engineer to join a specialist Mechanical Analysis function to support the structural design and development of a next-generation complex weapon platform.
This role performs the duties of a senior structural analysis lead and reports into the Mechanical Analysis leadership team, working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple UK sites.
Deliver and oversee structural and thermal analysis activities from early concept through detailed design, qualification, manufacture and in-service support
Plan, estimate and manage multiple structural analysis work packages to time, cost and quality
Apply classical hand calculations alongside advanced CAE techniques, including static, dynamic, fatigue, non-linear, impact and kinematic analysis
Support qualification and design testing activities, including fault investigation and loads derivation
