Position Overview
A Principal Design Engineer will lead the development of complex high-voltage (HV) substation projects, providing technical leadership in physical, protection, or control design. He oversees design reviews, ensure compliance with international codes (IEC, IEEE), mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities and Capabilities Design Leadership: Leads primary (layouts, equipment specs, bus work) or secondary (control, protection, SCADA) engineering for MV/HV substations. Technical Expertise: Conducts complex studies (earthing, load flow, short circuit) and creates, reviews, or approves technical documentation like single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.
