Position Overview
- Design and develop mechanical structures and components for autonomous robotic platforms using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD).
- Perform structural analysis (e.g., FEA), thermal analysis, and material selection for robotic components.
- Analyze robotic kinematics and dynamics to inform mechanical design and ensure system stability and performance, particularly for aerial platforms.
- Design and integrate actuation systems (motors, gearboxes, linkages) and custom end-effectors or payloads.
- Prototype and manufacture components using techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Oversee the assembly and physical integration of robotic systems.
- Design mounting solutions and ensure proper physical integration of sensors (e.g., IMUs, LiDAR, cameras) and electronic components.
