Operates, maintains, repairs and modifies elements, components and appliances associated with the steam distribution, steam condensate, hot water heating, heating ventilation and air conditioning, chilled water, medical air/vacuum and instrumentation air compressors as well as mechanical power generation systems at a 3rd Class Power Engineer's level in conformance with accepted regulatory codes, Worksafe BC regulations and established Hospital policies and procedures. Responsibilities Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of high pressure steam boilers, hot water boilers, chillers, diesel generators and auxiliary equipment in the Energy Centre, in accordance with the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
