Position

At the Norwegian College of Fishery Science, Faculty of Biosciences, Fisheries and Economics (BFE) at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, there is a vacant position as a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Microalgae & Microbiomes Research Group. The position is for a fixed term of 3 years. It is a prerequisite that the applicant can carry out the project over the full course of the employment period. No person may hold more than one fixed term position as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same institution.

Project Focus and Expectations

The postdoctoral project focuses on programmable marine microbiomes and mechanistic interactions within the diatom phycosphere, with particular emphasis on synthetic biology, microbial ecology, and molecular interactions between marine microalgae and associated bacteria.
