The Integrative Laryngeal BioPhysiology Lab (UT Larynx Lab) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow with expertise in biomedical engineering, signal processing, and big data analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to active NIH -funded research programs focused on the use of motion capture technology to investigate perilaryngeal–respiratory kinematic patterns and coordinative relationships in individuals with and without functional voice disorders, including primary muscle tension dysphonia.
Additionally, the role involves advanced research using high-density surface electromyography (HD-sEMG) and electroencephalography ( EEG ) to examine perilaryngeal motor unit neural control and corticomuscular integration in hyperfunctional voice disorders. The lab operates within a collaborative environment spanning The University of Texas at Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
