A postdoctoral position in digital media and communication research is being advertised by the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen. The role will commence 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter, and is a fixed–term appointment of three years.
The successful applicant will undertake conceptual and normative analyses of imaginaries originating in China, Europe, and the United States regarding the pros and cons of employing the Internet of Things (IoT) as a communication system that monitors the effects of human activities on Earth’s ecosystems. The work will be carried out within the GREENWATCH – Green Surveillance project, funded by an European Research Council Advanced Grant (2025‑2029).
