Alison Goate’s laboratory in the Department Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine atMount Sinai (MSSM) in New York City is currently looking for highly skilled and motivated molecular/cellneuroscientists and neuroimmunologists to be the drivers of our efforts to translate the human genetics of Alzheimer’sdisease (AD) into effective preventative and therapeutic interventions. Core areas of focus will be translating geneticsand human biology observations into both in vitro (induced pluripotent stem cell models) and in vivo systems (mousemodels) to understand innate immune modifiers of AD pathogenesis. In particular, the Goate lab concentrates onidentifying human genetic variants associated with AD and dissecting the molecular, cellular and tissue-levelmechanisms by which these variants and the associated genes (e.g., APOE, TREM2, SPI1/PU.1, MEF2C, MS4A)modulate disease risk, with a maj...
