**_Roles & Responsibilities:_**
Dr. Alison Goate's laboratory in the Departments of Neuroscience and Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (MSSM) in New York City is currently looking for highly skilled and motivated molecular/cell and functional genomics neuroscientists to be the drivers of our efforts to understand how the human genetics of the 17q21.31 βMAPT/tauβ locus contributes to mechanisms underlying Tauopathy, and translating this work into effective preventative and therapeutic interventions. Core areas of focus will be translating genetics and human biology observations into _in vitro_ (induced pluripotent stem cell models) models to understand the role of 17q21.31 on disease pathogenesis.
