Details of Research Project: 

Cell biology of viral pathogenesis. The postdoctoral fellow’s research will focus on replication dynamics of henipaviruses and/or related (re)emerging paramyxoviruses, including characterizing how pro- and anti-viral host factors modulate the early and late stages of the paramyxovirus life cycle. They will bring a biochemical and biophysical perspective to projects in the lab. They will also help in identifying novel viral and host determinants that modulate viral replication and pathogenesis with the aim of developing strategies that might target these determinants.
