Position Overview
IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for Postdoctoral fellow to join the Infections and Cystic Fibrosis Unit, Division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases.
The candidate will contribute to a Telethon-funded project investigating inter-organ communication between lung infection/inflammation and gut involvement. We will use Collaborative Cross (CC) mice with Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) mutation to model cystic fibrosis and study gut–lung crosstalk.

Focus: Integration of basic and preclinical research to:
understand the genetic and molecular determinants of host–pathogen interactions during initial and persistent bacterial infections;
define new approaches to treat infections and inflammation in respiratory diseases.
