Flexible Work, Better Balance
A Post-Doctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering for an innovative research project on Form-Stable Phase Change Material (FSPCM) Composites for Thermal Management of Lithium-Ion Batteries in Extreme Climates. The project focuses on advancing sustainable thermal management solutions for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), particularly under high temperature conditions such as those experienced in the UAE. The research will address critical safety and performance challenges associated with thermal runaway in electric vehicle (EV) batteries by developing bio-wasteβbased, thermally enhanced phase change material composites. The work integrates experimental materials synthesis, thermo-physical characterization, and multiphysics simulations, followed by system-level integration into battery modules and testing under UAE relevant conditions. Applicants must hold a PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, ...
