Flexible Work, Better Balance
Empa’s Centre for X-ray Analytics develops X-ray analytical and imaging methods for understanding materials structure in material, life- and medical sciences.
The PostDoc research will be part of a multi-center research project on applying and combining multi-modal 2D and 3D imaging methods for understanding metastasis and tumor deposit formation in colorectal tumors. Specifically, the work will focus on optimizing 3D X-ray virtual histology methods by phase-contrast micro-CT and corresponding image processing techniques also with view on combining it with other 2D and 3D techniques such as H&E and LSFM. The work will be done in close cooperation and synergy with an already running PhD project. Partly existing database will be used and extended to develop image processing pipelines and models for the automated evaluation of 3D data sets towards answering clinical research questions. The project is ...
