Job description
ResearchΒ areas will be within understanding and developing membrane distillation and electrodialysis processes for recovery of resources. New membrane modules will be developed and their performance, in terms of energy consumption, productivity, scaling/fouling potential will be analyzed by using experimental and modeling approaches. Therefore, expertise in modeling the transport phenomenon in membrane processes and the ability to work in the laboratory are required. Within the project, different feeds should be handled including mixtures of ash containing particles which can harm the membrane during pumping. Experimental data should, therefore, be designed to test how membrane properties, membrane module design and flow affect membrane lifetime, and risk for blockages in the system.
