Position Overview
**Description**
The Postdoctoral Scientist will be responsible for expanding the understanding of host immune responses to microbial infection and immunological disease mechanisms; the pathogenesis and virulence mechanisms of bacteria and viruses, contributing to the discovery and the development of novel entities to control and prevent infectious diseases in animals. They will be responsible for the design, interpretation and presentation of experiments that utilize cutting-edge approaches and / or technologies as well as perform studies that follow established protocols.
The incumbent will be a part of a highly innovative, collaborative and expanding team of experienced immunologists in the bacterial diseases group. The Immunology team will provide strong mentorship and professional development of the postdocs while ensuring that the postdocs are assigned to appropriate projects.
