Flexible Work, Better Balance
A Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Chronobiology Research Group at the University of Auckland is available for a 20-month project entitled “Spying on the secret lives of bees: Understanding the importance of eusocial clocks for honeybee behaviour”. This full‑time (40 hours per week) fixed‑term role will involve a Marsden‑funded grant to investigate honeybee behaviour by monitoring the patterns of electrostatic field signatures produced inside the hive. The project will use bee spy technology to non‑invasively study the honeybee clock in its natural state, aiming to understand how the clock is controlled and how it can be manipulated to improve bee health and management.
