This position is supported by NIH funded grant. The position is renewable based on availability of continuing funding.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in generating new platforms to investigate the co-evolution of the the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and its ligand across Drosophila species. The successful candidate will use a combination of molecular, genetic, biochemical, and computational approaches to study how EGFR signaling levels evolved across species. The successful candidate must have experience with genome engineering (i.e. CRISPR/Cas9), and broad use of molecular biology and biochemical tools to validate genomic alternations.
