Job Summary The Port Captain is responsible for supervising vessel operations within assigned ports, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, company policies, and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with ship crews, port authorities, and stakeholders to ensure efficient turnaround, cargo operations, and vessel readiness.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily operations of vessels calling at assigned ports
- Act as the company’s representative onboard vessels and at port
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL) and local port rules
- Monitor cargo loading and unloading operations for safety and efficiency
- Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and safety checks
