Summary:
Assures that all point of care testing complies with federal regulations by developing policies and monitoring compliance. Actively involved in the decision and implementation of new point of care testing throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities:
**Responsible for the quality assurance program for all waived and nonwaived point of care testing.** **Testing follows the CLIA 88 guidelines. Develop policies and procedures for point of care testing. Monitors staff compliance. Follow up or remedial action for noncompliance. Ensure that all personnel performing point of care tests are following established policies and procedures and quality control standards are met. All requirements for CLIA and JC are satisfied.**
