**Description**

**Job Summary:**

The Plumber supports the operations and maintenance mission at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center by performing skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment. This role ensures the reliability of critical infrastructure that directly supports patient care, medical operations, research environments, and daily facility functions. The Plumber works independently and with the WRNMMC facilities team to maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, safety requirements, and military medical facility expectations.

**Primary Job Functions:**

+ Assemble, install, maintain, and repair piping, fittings, fixtures, and equipment for heating, water, and drainage systems in accordance with all applicable specifications, plumbing codes, and WRNMMC safety standards.
