Job Description
Insight Global’s client is seeking a skilled PLS-CADD Designer to join their team in Midland, TX! The PLS-CADD Designer will support transmission and distribution projects by creating detailed designs for overhead power lines using PLS-CADD software. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in structural analysis, CAD drafting, and electrical design standards, and will collaborate closely with engineers, surveyors, and project stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze transmission and distribution lines using PLS-CADD
• Develop line routes based on terrain data, survey inputs (including LiDAR), and project requirements.
• Prepare design documents including plan and profiles, structure loadings, trench and conduit drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Apply relevant standards such as NESC, NEC, and ASCE in all design work.
