Performs sensory inspections of machinery, equipment and components at predetermined scheduled intervals to detect abnormalities such as change in pitch, rattling, cracks, loose bolts and leaks.
Performs hands‑on inspections like checking tolerances and clearances of machinery, equipment and components using tools such as hand tools, gauges and strobe lights.
Checks for worn, defective, broken or otherwise unacceptable components such as filters, sight glasses, packing, seals, bearings and gaskets; checks condition, level and temperature of fluids according to manufacturers’ recommendations.
Greases and lubricates components according to site, manufacturers’ or engineers’ specifications.
