Insight Global's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Piping Designer to join their dynamic team in the Newport News, Virginia area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing P&IDs and piping systems for various shipbuilding projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include developing detailed piping design drawings and specifications, collaborating with engineers and other designers, conducting site visits and inspections, utilizing CAD software for piping layouts and schematics, reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and standards, coordinating with project managers and stakeholders, providing technical support during construction and installation phases, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations, and participating in design reviews for continuous improvement.
