Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Water and Sewer Pipe Layer Helpers supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Calgary area.
Responsibilities:
Assist pipe layer in general duties associated with laying pipe: cleaning and soaping pipe, ensuring alignment, barring in larger diameter pipes, etc.Monitor connections as they are pushed together paying special attention to rubbers and joints, ensuring adequate connectionMonitor and ensure backfill of installed pipeParticipate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and proceduresReport all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervisionMaintain effective communication with supervisors and crew membersWork collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelines Qualifications:
