Summary: Reads and interprets blueprints and sketches to repair, modify, install and dismantle various pipes and fittings associated with shipboard hydraulic, pneumatic and water systems.
Responsibilities

• Once assigned to a project, this position reports directly to the project Foreman in the performance of his/her responsibilities.
• Strictly adheres to corporate, federal, state and local safety regulations prior to setting up or operating any machinery.
• Ensures that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is properly worn and that any damaged PPE is immediately removed from use and discarded.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices; turning off machines when not in use, disposing of waste properly, sweeping the area, etc.
