Position Overview
The Medical Physicist is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients. This role supports all clinical, technical, and quality assurance activities related to radiation-producing equipment, treatment planning, and radiation safety. The physicist collaborates closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and engineers to maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
+ Ensure accurate and safe delivery of prescribed photon and proton therapy treatments in accordance with physician intent and departmental standards.
+ Provide clinical physics support for simulation, setup, and treatment delivery, verifying immobilization, imaging, and patient positioning for complex modalities (IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, brachytherapy, and proton therapy).
