Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsibilities Serves as the Telehealth Medical Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Provides professional health care services for inmates remotely via the telehealth network utilizing virtual communication channels. Responsible for meeting the health needs (both physical and/or mental) of inmates for whom evaluation has been requested. This responsibility is served remotely via virtual communication channels. Collects a comprehensive present and past medical history and relevant surgical procedures, family, and social history to include a review of all body systems as clinically indicated. Documents a thorough physical examination, orders appropriate diagnostic testing and provides necessary treatment and/or medications as required.
