Summary The Physician-Service Chief for the Specialty Care Department provides clinical, academic and administrative leadership for the Medical Service. This includes acute Medicine inpatients beds, Emergency Room, the Medical Subspecialty Sections (Cardiology, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Renal, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Pulmonary, Rheumatology), Internal medicine and Hospitalists teams, Neurology and Dermatology. Responsibilities Some positions/specialties are eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). If selected, you will be notified if your specialty is eligible for EDRP or not. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
