Job Title

Full-time staff psychiatrist positions are available in the Mental Health Team in the VA North Texas Health Care System Mental Health Service (VANTHCS MHS).

Positions are fully in-person. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.

Duties

Duties are but not limited to:

• Core responsibilities include providing comprehensive psychiatric medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment) to patients on the outpatient mental health team. Incumbent must be skilled in general outpatient psychiatry, including diagnostic evaluations, pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.
• He/she should be competent in the management of individuals with a broad range of clinical problems, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder, mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders in the elderly Veteran population.
