Summary The incumbent functions as the Supervisory Physician (Medical Director) assigned to Hines GEC Home Based Primary Care program. This position has direct administrative and professional supervision of all Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the HBPC program. Responsibilities Major Duties Responsible for the overall medical care delivered by the HBPC team. Collaborating with the HBPC Program Director to: Provider leadership to the HBPC program, including, but not limited to, clinical activities and approval of local HBPC SOP. Plan and direct the educational and clinical experience of medical students, residents and fellows assigned to HBPC program. Assume a leadership role in the development and implementation of HBPC's process for continuous performance improvement. Advocate for HBPC with VHA leadership and the medical community.
