Position Overview
Summary The Radiology Service Chief provides executive leadership and oversight for all aspects of Radiology Service, including clinical operations, education, research, and administrative functions. Responsibilities The Chief ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient diagnostic and interventional imaging services to veterans. Ensures full compliance with all Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directives, handbooks, and national radiology program requirements. Duties include, but are not limited to: Ensures adherence to VHA imaging standards, modality protocols, radiation safety rules, and accreditation standards. Coordinates with the National Radiology Program Office (NRPO) on national initiatives, reporting, and clinical practice updates. Supports VA-wide quality, patient safety, and High Reliability Organization (HRO) programs. Implements VHA strategic initiatives including modernization efforts and enterprise imaging technologies.
