University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant to help support Altoona Stroke & Neurointervention.

Hours: Three 12-hour shifts
Position Specifics: We are recruiting a team of four (4) inpatient APPs who will work alongside the physicians to run the Stroke Service, to include, but not be limited to: Treating ICU and surgical patients, attending emergent Stroke codes and floor patients. This role is responsible for responding to the stroke codes during daytime hours to help provide emergent care for suspected stroke patients. APPs are trained to read neuro imaging including CT's, MRI's, interpret necessary lab works. Initial training period the schedule will be five 8-hour shifts then will transition to three 12-hour shifts.
Department Details: The stroke team has 4 physicians - 2 of which are neurointerventionalists who specialize in intracranial clot removal in emergent large vessel occlusion strokes.
