Responsibilities Provide care for patients in Cardiology with a primary focus on Veterans referred for arrhythmia-related, coronary and structural heart diseases and respective procedures (e.g. transcatheter aortic valve interventions, percutaneous coronary intervention, ablations, cardiac device placements). - Admit and follow patients referred/admitted for cardiovascular diseases and procedures in the CCU Observation Unit and MICU/SICU settings. - Determine Veteran eligibility for cardiac procedures, and consent for cardiovascular procedures. - Prepare patients for the procedure via appropriate testing, medical care, and consultations with other medical/surgical services. - Coordinate the in-hospital care plans and performance of procedures with various physicians and nursing services, vendors, and administration...
